Trade Counter Associate
LOCATION: Hemel Hempstead
SALARY: Competitive
WORK PATTERN: Monday – Friday & alternative Saturday working (8am – 12pm)

Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service Excellence
- Serve as the first point of contact for trade customers at the counter, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience.
- Assist customers with product inquiries, offering expert advice and recommendations on flooring solutions.
- Process orders, returns, and exchanges promptly and accurately.
Sales and Product Knowledge
- Upsell and cross-sell products to maximize sales opportunities.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of our product range, including flooring materials, tools, and accessories.
- Provide guidance on product features, specifications, and installation techniques.
Account and Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with trade customers, acting as a trusted point of contact for their needs.
- Proactively manage a portfolio of accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Regularly engage with customers to identify opportunities for new sales and support their business growth.
- Collaborate with the sales team to follow up on leads, quotes, and orders.
Inventory Management
- Ensure stock levels are maintained at the trade counter and assist with restocking as needed.
- Participate in regular inventory checks to keep track of stock accuracy.
Operational Support
- Process cash and card payments using our POS system.
- Handle customer complaints or issues with professionalism, escalating to management when necessary.
- Keep the trade counter area clean, organized, and well-presented at all times.

LOCATION: Northampton, NN4
SALARY: £34,500 – £36,500
WORK PATTERN: Monday – Friday Evenings
Are you an experienced 18-Tonne Lorry Driver looking for your next opportunity? Join our dynamic logistics team and play a key role in ensuring smooth, reliable, and timely deliveries. This role offers variety, with the primary focus on evening Hub-to-Spoke operations—transporting goods from our NN distribution centre to branches in Milton Keynes, Hemel Hempstead, and Colindale. Occasionally, you’ll also support daytime operations or direct-to-customer deliveries, always agreed in advance. Key Responsibilities:
Vehicle Operation and Maintenance:
- Safely operate an 18-tonne lorry in compliance with road safety laws and company policies
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in proper working condition
- Report and document any mechanical issues or damage to the vehicle
Loading and Unloading:
- Safely load and unload goods, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads to prevent shifting
- Use equipment such as forklifts, tail lifts, or pallet jacks when necessary
- Verify the accuracy of goods loaded against delivery notes or manifests
Delivery and Route Management:
- Plan efficient delivery routes to meet delivery schedules
- Ensure timely deliveries while adhering to legal driving time limits and rest periods
Compliance and Record-Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections, and work hours
- Ensure compliance with regulations regarding tachographs, driving hours, and vehicle weight limits
- Handle and retain delivery paperwork, including signatures and receipts
Safety and Security:
- Follow health and safety procedures during loading, unloading, and driving
- Safeguard the vehicle and its contents against theft or damage
- Drive responsibly to avoid accidents and incidents on the road
Customer Service:
- Communicate professionally and courteously with customers.
- Handle queries or concerns related to deliveries and report unresolved issues to management.
- Represent the company positively during all interactions with customers and the public.
